Overseas

This is Jasper’s first short docu-fiction, completed as part of an Ethnographic Documentary Film Making module at the University College London (UCL). Overseas draws an intimate portrait of Zihan Zhou, a Chinese writer and student living in London. Through conversation, poetry, and integration of archive footage of Zihan, the film is an invitation to temporarily see the world through anothers eyes. But who’s perspective is it really?
